Frozen Mango Margarita Mocktail (Printable Version)

Frozen mango, citrus juices, and ice create a slushy, vibrant summer beverage. Garnish with lime and Tajín.

# What You'll Need:

→ Mango Base

01 - 2 cups frozen mango chunks
02 - 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
03 - 1/4 cup orange juice
04 - 2 tablespoons agave syrup or honey
05 - 1/2 cup cold water
06 - 1 cup ice cubes

→ Garnishes

07 - Lime wedges, for rimming and garnish
08 - Coarse sea salt or Tajín seasoning, for rimming glass
09 - Mango slices, optional

# Directions:

01 - Rub a lime wedge around the rim of each serving glass. Dip rims into coarse sea salt or Tajín seasoning to coat. Set aside.
02 - Add frozen mango chunks, freshly squeezed lime juice, orange juice, agave syrup or honey, cold water, and ice cubes to the blender.
03 - Process on high speed until the mixture becomes smooth and slushy. If it is too thick, gradually incorporate additional water until desired consistency is achieved.
04 - Sample the mixture and, if needed, enhance sweetness by incorporating more agave syrup or honey.
05 - Pour the prepared mango mixture into the salted glasses.
06 - Finish with lime wedges and optional mango slices. Serve immediately.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • This mocktail bursts with more flavor than most store-bought blends, and you can adjust the sweetness however you like.
  • It only takes ten minutes, so you can whip it up whenever surprise guests show up or cravings strike.
02 -
  • If you blend too long, the mixture warms up and loses its frosty character—work quickly and with purpose.
  • I learned that just a pinch of Tajín or chili powder in the blender gives a surprising depth you can't get from plain salt.
03 -
  • If the blender jams, let it rest and add a splash more water—don’t force it.
  • Garnishing with mango slices doubles as a snack, and makes the drink feel extra festive.
